Music

Welcome to Music Class!

All students in grades Kindergarten through Fourth Grade meet with Mrs. Chandler for Music class twice each week.  Students in Jr. Kindergarten, and Fifth through Eight Grade meet for Music once each week.  We also have two all-school music programs during the school year.  The first is our Christmas Program in mid-December and the second is our Spring Program in mid-April.

We use the God Made Music workbook series.  It is the first music curriculum written especially for Christian schools.  Below is some information about what your child will learn as he or she progresses through each grade level.

Students in Grade 8 learn to play basic handbells during the Fall Semester and then compose their own music on electronic keyboards during the Spring Semester.

Students in Grade 7 participate in a "Junkyard Percussion" Ensemble during the Spring Semester.
